Bài viết tổng quan năm mô hình lý thuyết phổ biến trong y tế công cộng, gồm Mô hình Niềm tin Sức khỏe, Thuyết Tự hiệu quả, Thuyết Hỗ trợ Xã hội, Mô hình Chăm sóc Bệnh mạn tính và Mô hình Sinh thái - Xã hội. Các mô hình được trình bày theo cấu trúc gồm nguồn gốc, nội dung cốt lõi, phạm vi ứng dụng, điểm mạnh và hạn chế, cùng mối quan hệ tương tác trong lĩnh vực y tế công cộng. Bài viết đề xuất khung tích hợp đa tầng, kết hợp yếu tố cá nhân, xã hội, hệ thống và chính sách nhằm nâng cao hiệu quả và tính bền vững của các nghiên cứu và can thiệp sức khỏe. Việc phối hợp linh hoạt các mô hình ở nhiều cấp độ không chỉ giúp lý giải hành vi sức khỏe một cách toàn diện mà còn tăng tính thực tiễn và hiệu quả của các chương trình chăm sóc, quản lý và phòng bệnh, góp phần nâng cao sức khỏe cộng đồng.
